I have no idea whether Adele has previously professed any political leanings one way or another. Maybe she's a Tory! It happens.
More worthy of public outcry I feel (almost) : since when did 'mortified' mean 'outraged' rather than acutely embarrassed?

The Guardian feels the need to add/change a couple of words to adapt the quote to print, but nothing on this. Can one say "sic" for lexical rather than syntactic/orthographic error? I'm now curious.
